LETHE

A coating of colloidal silver provides a photosensitive layer on film. After fixing the movie scenes on film, silver can be “returned back" by way of its restoration, washing it off, of course, along with the movie.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union in state-run film studios, the possibility of such silver "mines" was discovered.

An image, picture vanished in oblivion, but sound is not destroyed.

The project uses an authentic projector "Ukraine" and found washed-out films at the film studio.
